šĀ Hello!
šĀ Because our class begins while the campus is still under severe weather policy, we will not meet in person Th, 2/20.
š¬Ā Instead, Iāve put together a series of videos covering our Lecture 13 content. They are posted to Canvas > Panopto Video > Lecture 13 Feb 20 snow day:
ā¬ļøĀ Once inside this folder, you may need to choose āSort by Orderā so that they show up consecutively:
šæĀ There are six videos to watch.
šĀ Some cover slides, some have notes to copy into your notebook, and others walk you through how to use your models to visualize stereochemical concepts or cyclohexane chair conformations.

I highly recommend that you build models while youāre playing and pausing the videos. Iāve learned from working with so many students that really being able to visualize and solve problems related to chirality and cyclohexane conformations (and thus higher grades on exams!) only comes after playing with models, and relating them to the 2D drawings that we make to represent them.

āļøĀ After youāve watched the videos and updated your notes, be sure to start on problems from the checklist related to Chapter 7 material.
š¬Ā Assuming that there arenāt any further weather-related delays, plan to meet your TA for Discussion on Friday, as usual.
āĀ If you have any questions related to course material, please utilize the Ed Discussion board accessed through Canvas.
šļøĀ For Tuesday, two items:
Bring a model of methylcyclohexane to lecture so that we can play along together š
Bring your Art Homework with you, I will be collecting it. (Waitā¦whutā¦Art Homework in orgo?)
āļøĀ And finally, here is a ChemDraw snowman.
